CRUELTY-FREE 101: Brushes

Brush Bristles from animal hair aka 'Natural Hairs' (horse, goat, anything) involved cruelty in some form and even though their are pros and cons for both. Considering this is a cruelty-free blog it's kind of obvious I'd pick Synthetic because it's man-made bristles, right? Synthetic Brushes are far more sustainable, come in a wide price range (super cheap to hella expensive) but I have never heard bad things about Synthetic Brushes.

THE PERKS OF SYNTHETIC:
  1. Easy to Clean
  2. Cruelty-Free
  3. Soft
  4. Picks up product evenly

COMPANIES THAT HAVE SYNTHETIC BRUSHES:
+ symbol next to company means also Cruelty-Free
? symbol next to company means I don't know if Cruelty-Free

DEB TALK: THE FINALE

SOURCE: PINTEREST - BUT OFF GILT.COM

Day all started at 9am, I had a body shower because I washed my hair the night before and my sister did my hair at 10 and we finished around 11:30 just in time to get my makeup done at 12 by a lovely makeup artist in training who came to my house and I was super impressed with the end result.

I went to a house to take photos with my partner and pretty much everyone doing the deb on my night, it was pretty windy so my hair turned a tad shitty, but it held up pretty well. Took the limo to the venue with some cool people and once everyone got there we had to get professional photos taken and we had like drinks and stuff. Then we practiced our dances and the entrance we all had to do and then we had another break and there was sushi and stuff.

I don't know what else to say without sounding repetitive but the actual night was great, I didn't fall down the stairs when we get introduced thank god.

SELFIE LIFE

I CROPPED OUT MY GRANDPARENTS BECAUSE IM NOT REALLY INTO HAVING PICS OF THEM ON THE INTERNET

JULY FAVOURITES MMXIV

LEFT: OIL BALANCING WASH - RIGHT: FLAWLESS FINISH FOUNDATION - BEHIND: FLEECE BLANKET

I haven't made a Favourites post in such a long time and I don't really do it because I don't purchase many new things and I am also quite particular, maybe I mostly get annoyed that blogger tells me I am spelling Favourites wrong (it has a U). July was a shit, kind of busy month and I'm happy it's over.

Mum bought me a blanket and stole it for the couch in the other room that is ruined by my cat so she's covered how ruined it is. But she bought me another one like a day later because she felt bad. It's super warm and soft, feels like I'm cuddling a polar bear (if they felt like fleece)

I haven't owned a foundation probably since I was 13-14 (Maybelline SuperStay, I threw it out once I turned CF) and didn't bother replacing it considering it is kind of hard (super hard) to find a easily accessible, CF Drugstore Foundation. I bought this one off iHerb for $3 because I'd heard some good reviews about it and it's pretty good. Good coverage, matches my skin, I use it mostly everyday I go out (not at school though) before this foundation I use to only rock the 'concealer everywhere' look.

When Sukin was in the testing stage of this Derma line I signed my sister and I up to be testers and to give feedback because we both have weird skin (hers is like prone to react to anything). Because I have oily/combo skin I received this wash and I just remember it being so great. And once I realised they released it I was so stoked. It is so easy to wash with and my face feels clean and fresh afterwards with no irritation what-so-ever.
