DEB TALK: SHOES UPDATE, CLUTCH AND IN-BETWEEN SHIT

I've already had my deb, I wanted to post this before my actual deb but I had no time to take photos and crap so here you go.

Since my last update my main goal was to get shoes and I got them. First shoes I got were from some shoe website from America, they were alright but were too big for me even with insoles. So literally two days before my deb I purchased these  nice shoes I can wear again because they're pretty fashionable. They were only $60 from Famous Footwear and they were good to walk in.

ONLY GOT ONE BLISTER FROM THESE FOR 11 HOURS

I picked up Fashion Tape for $8 from Target to hold up my sleeve-type things on my dress because they don't sit in the right position and I'd have to continuously re-adjust during the night. These worked but I have a slight irritation.

I bought a clutch from Colette, I was originally going to buy one on sale online but I went in store and found a good looking one for only $19.95 called the Katia Diagonal Clutch. I will probably do a 'What's in my Clutch Bag' type post soon.

MANAGED TO FIT MAJORITY OF THE SHIT I NEEDED TO CARRY, WILL USE AGAIN FOR FORMAL EVENTS N SHIT

I only realised a few days ago that my teeth are terribly stained from my large consumption of coffee on a daily basis, so I purchased a White Glo Express Whitening Kit from Priceline. If you use this kit make sure you cut the mouth trays down so they don't rub against your gums and bruise them.  I also picked up a Cedel Hairspray which are pretty new and they had a bunch of scents (if I picked up the Coconut one my sister would probably refuse to do my hair) so I go Raspberry Punch.

DOESNT MAKE YOUR HAIR CRUNCHY IF YOU USE IT REASONABLY, AND SMELLS LIKE LOLLIES

Speaking of hair, I had to buy more bobby pins and ended up using 22 in my hair to keep up my bun and all the hair with it. My sister did my hair and it turned out pretty good.

Lastly, I need to get my under arms waxed because I like that look (cool if you're into hair there). I go to Brazilian Butterfly locally, it's reasonably priced and they do a good job, once I signed up I got an email for $10 off which I used for my last appointment.

I didn't get a tan because fuck that, I have never had fake tan or anything and I have seen far too many tan malfunctions from older year levels Presentation Balls. I guess if you are good at tan and you do it regularly then great, but I'd rather rock that white girl look than being a skin tone I am not use to for a big event.

Has anyone done deb or their prom (any formal event, really)? - would be cool if I heard all the preparation you guys had to do.

REVIEW: The Story So Far - Songs of (EP)

Being a The Story So Far fan for a couple of years and liking pretty much all their stuff and this latest 5-track EP, 'Songs Of' is quite likable. With a combination of new songs and covers of older TSSF songs from their second album, What You Don't See. There is also there is a Bob Marley Cover, all being acoustic.

  1. The Glass - From 'What You Don't See'
  2. Navy Blue - NEW
  3. All Wrong - From 'What You Don't See'
  4. Bad Luck - From 'What You Don't See'
  5. Waiting in Vain -  Bob Marley Cover

COVER
Navy Blue being their only new song they've made in this EP, it is probably my favourite. The acoustic versions of the 3 tracks from their current album are obviously more toned down in comparison to the original. Obviously Parker (main vocalist) voice is more toned down in compare to TSSF common stuff they put out and duh, the instruments are very different and limited due to it's an acoustic based EP.

There was not much publicity over this EP (not like TV promotion) I just barely saw posts from TSSF about it. I only saw it was released via Spotify, but it is a good EP so it shouldn't be hiding.

RATING: 4.5/5
Nothing wrong with this at all, i wouldn't mind if there was more new songs instead of covers/remakes but it's an EP so.

NEWS: Aldi Green Action Cleaning Line

Just a quick post just to inform all you CF lads and lasses that Aldi have a 'Environmentally Friendly & Green' cleaning products. I don't know if they're new or just re-released but I am super excited for these products. I know there is Earth's Choice at Coles and other supermarkets for household cleaners such as laundry products and dishwashing liquid and my mum is never really interested in it but finally she wants to try these out.

The Aldi website is kind of informative but I thought having a catalogue view is a lot more visually appealing so I took some snapz.

You can see an annotation next to the Fabric Softener stating 'No Animal Testing Of Ingredients'. Do you guys believe it is all Cruelty-Free? Please leave comments with your input!
