COTTON ON HAUL #4

Went to Spencer Street DFO and bought a few items from Cotton On outlet as they have a lot of sales, all the time. I don't have much room in my wardrobe anymore and I really need an upgrade, I have no idea what other storage I can do besides in a draw or hanging it up, if anyone has any ideas that would be sick.

CHEMIST WAREHOUSE & KMART HAUL

Went to Chemist Warehouse to pick up some essential stuff like Shampoo, Wash, pads.. yeah, and I was in desperate need for a eyelash curler because I need my lashes to look nice. I am really trying to smash out SACs and school work so pretty much all the posts I've previously posted and going to post in the next few weeks are gonna be scheduled and pre-written. That's been the case since like May-June because I was doing exams and such. Hopefully that isn't a problem but I might start doing some Christmas & Summer stuff? I am not a Christmas Person but last year I did do quite a few posts on it. Enjoy this quick ass haul.

CRUELTY-FREE 101: Brushes

Brush Bristles from animal hair aka 'Natural Hairs' (horse, goat, anything) involved cruelty in some form and even though their are pros and cons for both. Considering this is a cruelty-free blog it's kind of obvious I'd pick Synthetic because it's man-made bristles, right? Synthetic Brushes are far more sustainable, come in a wide price range (super cheap to hella expensive) but I have never heard bad things about Synthetic Brushes.

THE PERKS OF SYNTHETIC:
  1. Easy to Clean
  2. Cruelty-Free
  3. Soft
  4. Picks up product evenly

COMPANIES THAT HAVE SYNTHETIC BRUSHES:
+ symbol next to company means also Cruelty-Free
? symbol next to company means I don't know if Cruelty-Free

REVIEW: Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

I purchased this product in April from iHerb and considering it's a lot cheaper than buying it from somewhere in store in Australia. I usually use my fingers to apply foundation and concealers but I wanted to get a flawless finish everyone says sponges give.

I dampen the sponge either by running it under water and soaking it, or just spraying a few sprays of my Australis Makeup Finishing Spritz onto it and it expands in size.

Pros:
  • Soft
  • Applies Foundation evenly
  • Gives Great Coverage
  • Different edges and surfaces to apply onto different areas of face

Cons:
  • Unavailable in Australia

RATING: 9/10
WOULD RE-PURCHASE? Yes! Sick price, great quality and I haven't tried the beauty blender but I reckon it's better haha.

REVIEW: Lush No Drought Dry Shampoo

I am not a huge fanatic about Lush, I don't own much of their products. I use their Tea Tree Water pretty much everyday and I love it but other than that I haven't tried out much. After finishing my last can of Batiste Dry Shampoo I decided to try out Lush's No Drought Dry Shampoo because it isn't in a aerosol can and it seems like a lot and it's worth the money.

Pros:
  • Smells like a bunch of Citrus fruit (If you're into that)
  • Very minimal artificial ingredients
  • Soft and fine (texture wise)

Cons:
  • A bit difficult to put directly onto scalp (until you get the hang of it)
  • Doesn't absorb all oils

MY RATING: 7/10
WOULD REPURCHASE? Probably. Although I find cans easier to use and a tad more effective, this is a lot more natural and will probably last me ALOT longer than Batiste cans and it's pretty much the same price. I am still trying to work with it.

iHERB HAUL

I finally ordered what I wanted from iHerb and I got it a week after I ordered it (I was meant to get it two days earlier but the delivery guy thought I wasn't home) If you'd like to use my iHerb Coupon code for your first order it is GBD144.
If anyone wants me to do a review of any of these products just comment below and I will definitely keep them in mind! :)

WHAT'S IN MY EMERGENCY BAG?

This is my first 'what's in my bag' type of posts so excuse me if I'm a bit amateur. I always have this bag in whatever bag I am using because it contains all the essentials I would need for a beauty and pretty much life emergency.

PENCIL CASE: LE MENTAL CASE - TYPO

VICTORIA'S SECRET - MINTS
My sister bought me these when she went to America and I like to keep them in here and I also have a couple of Neurofen pills in there just in case I feel sick and I need something.

ELF - SHINE ERASER OIL BLOTTING SHEETS - $3 (AT KMART)
I have a few of these and they are so good. Sometimes I can get incredibly oily and these sheets mattify my skin so well. If I go to a show I just bring this packet and put my myki and ID inside and even my money (notes). So convenient.

MYKI
I have a spare Myki inside this bag just incase I lose my main one. If anyone who doesn't know what a myki is, it's a card used in Victoria to travel on Public transport such as trains, buses and trams which contains your money. It's an alright idea.

SUGARBABY TIN
So I don't use this for lip balm, but to store some bobby pins. Easier to store it in one little tin instead of being at the bottom of my bag everywhere.

So I store my feminine products in here. It's pretty convenient and super cute and I have like 5 of these so I put them everywhere. Put em in your purse, your gym bag, your school bag, your car - anywhere. I don't just put my pads in here though, I also put in my...

INSIDE CONTAINER (YES THAT IS A PHONE BATTERY)

You're probably thinking, 'woah this crazy bitch hoards phone batteries.' that ain't the case. I have a spare phone battery, fully charged with me where ever I go so just incase my phone dies I can easily replace it will a full battery. And storing it in here makes sure it doesn't get damaged.

LIPSTICK HOLDER
This is the best invention, it is so cute and secure so your lip product doesn't get ruined. It also has a mirror inside which is super handy. But I don't really use this for my lip products anymore.

INSIDE CONTAINER (Q-TIPS)
I always need Q-tips just incase something happens with my mascara or brows or whatever so this is how I use it.

ASTHMA PUMP
Need this just in case I have a coughing fit or when I'm anxious. Or when my chest gets weezy. So this helps prevent uncomfortable coughing fits.

SPORTSGIRL MIRROR
My sister originally had this mirror and I liked it so much and after a year or two she gave it to me. It is cute and It doesn't feel like the mirror would break easily because the material is padded.

PAPER MATE INKJOY BLACK PEN
I really hope this brand is cruelty-free because I use paper mate at school. They seem to be a lot better than BIC (apparently they test on animals because they also make razors). This pen is pretty good if I need to use it for whatever.

Sorry if this post was lengthy but I hope you enjoyed!
